3C and OTRUM launch the first pan-European card payment solution for hotel services
Luxembourg, September 29th, 2006 – 3C Communications International S.A., the leading card payment processing company, and OTRUM, Europe's leading full-service provider of interactive TV solutions to the hospitality industry, are pleased to announce what is believed to be the world’s first credit card payment solution for in-room hotel services.
Interactive TV solutions are a must-have service in today’s hospitality offering, especially movies and Internet services. OTRUM’s and 3C’s payment system provides guests with a new option to purchase TV services.
3C’s technology has been integrated into OTRUM’s interactive solutions to allow hotel guests to pay directly with their credit cards for the service they want to access. Guests just have to enter their card details via a user-friendly and secure TV interface provided by OTRUM. The transaction is performed thanks to 3C’s processing system, following the security rules required for any card-based purchase.
