SKIDATA™ Partners with 3C to Enhance
Credit Card Processing
For Immediate Release – July 18, 2005
Hillsborough, NJ. - SKIDATA, Inc., a world
leader in people and vehicle access systems,
today announced it has partnered with 3C
North America to enhance and simplify the
credit card processing services provided
to its parking clients and their customers.
3C’s 3CIntegraTM solution provides high-speed,
integrated, real-time credit card processing
in connection with SKIDATA’s vehicle access
systems.
Both companies view the strategic relationship
as a natural fit, as SKIDATA and 3C each
specialize in the parking industry and have
extensive experience in the North American
and European markets. The immediate goal
of the partnership is to expedite consumer
payment at points of commerce that have
been traditionally considered “bottlenecks,”
namely parking.
“Our customers are a veritable ‘who’s who’
list of the most prestigious names in the
sports, recreation and entertainment industries,”
said Keith Lynch, Vice President of Vehicle
Access for SKIDATA, “and they all share
a common trait. They work tirelessly to
enhance their customers’ experience. SKIDATA
is now able to provide our users improved
customer satisfaction by accelerating payment
transactions, increasing services and enhancing
credit card processing security.”
Facilities that install a new 3C-enabled
SKIDATA system or upgrade their current
system with 3C’s solution will eliminate
the risk associated with off-line batch
processing, a method that does not check
for authorization at the time of payment.
Further, SKIDATA can now offer online payment
options to consumers and automatically integrate
multiple card types. The universal payment
system is fully automated and replaces expensive
“manned” booth (s) with stand-alone terminals.
This technology integration strives to provide
more than advanced features. It also aims
to increase merchant choice and control.
For example, 3C offers a SKIDATA customer
access to a wide network of acquiring banks,
enabling each merchant to select the right
services based on their specific business
needs 3C’s web-based reporting tool enables
SKIDATA’s customers to improve their reconciliation
process by easily accessing comprehensive
daily and monthly transaction reports on
a secure Website.
