TCP/IP Authorisation launched in Norway - 09/01/2003

In the first days of 2003, 3C released and installed its TCP/IP solution for online authorisation in Norway.

The pub "Palace Grill" in Oslo is the first Norwegian location to use TCP/IP as an authorisation technique provided by 3C.

In combination with the Norwegian POS-System SMS the speed for an online authorisation via TCP/IP is reduced impressively. It only takes 4 seconds from swiping the card in the POS-System until the reply from the Acquiring Bank is received on the POS Workstation.

The location already had an ADSL connection for their Internet and Email systems and the same is now used for processing the online authorisation requests. By installing 3C's TCP/IP solution the location will save approx. NOK 0.30 on communication cost for each online authorisation.

During Q1-2003, several more Norwegian locations are scheduled to follow.
